Crazyness

Not much time to post. It has been a crazy week. I am on spring break but even busier than normal...if that is even possible. Hailey turns 6 tomorrow!!! Wow, i just can't believe it. She is so grown up. Her teacher said she has passed all her requirements to move into the 1st grade...yea-yyyyahhhhh. She has been reading like crazy. Her favorite books are buscuit the puppy books. They are so sweet. She has lots of them. My mom has made that her special gift and she even found a little stuffed dog that looks just like buscuit. I love it. She has her school party tomorrow, with pink frosted cookies(since we can no longer make food ourself) it cost me $16 for all her stuff for school!! But the real fun will be on Saturday. She is having her birthday party at 12 then a slumber party at night. She invited her whole class to her party...we will see how many people actually come...then all of the girls from her class to the slumber party. All the kids are dressing up as characters/fairy people...or whatever floats their boat! I can't wait to post the pics. I am also going to try and get a photo shoot of her this week.

I just haven't had time...we are trying to get Grant's bedroom remodeled before the party Saturday. Jason is finishing up the caulking and taping tonight so we can start painting tomorrow or wednesday. If we get it all done quickly i am going to try and see if they can get carpet in there before saturday but it is cutting it really, really close but usually they are very fast. If not, i will set the room up without carpet and let the girls sleep in there. I am desperate to get him out of our room and give us a break. Our room looks like world war III with all the stuff from both rooms and boxes for moving(someday)!!

We went to see the specialist today and his ears are still infected. The left is the worst today(go figure)...lots of fluid but as far as they said it doesnt look like any permanent damage yet! We got Grant's surgery scheduled for next friday, March 20th. We go in at 6 am and i assume we will be back home before lunch. They are going to do tubes only. So it should be an easy procedure but it still freaks me out. Hailey had problems with vomiting afterwards but by the end of the day she was up and back to normal. I am hoping he bounces back just as quickly as she did. He is just a baby and i want him to feel better as soon as possible.

Grant is starting to walk everywhere. He can take at least 6-10 steps then he falls. He prefers to crawl if he wants to get somewhere fast but he is trying more and more to get his balance. I am thinking that after his surgery he should have better equilibrium and will really pick up the pace. Hopefully he will start talking more also. When your ears are clogged i am sure it is difficult to hear anything! He is such a happy baby once you get rid of this pain i can't imagine how easy life will be...maybe he will start sleeping the 11 hours a night again...maybe??

Hailey is done with cheerleading. She had alot of fun even though the upward program was very unorganized. I am hoping next year we can get her cheering where she can really learn the ropes. She just signed up for soccer and i think she will be really good. She loves to play at home and begged me to let her join. We will see. Also Daisys(Girl Scouts) is going well, she loves all the activities and they are teaching her all the activities to make her a strong self-reliant child. I love that they want her to take responsibility for her actions and that they teach her respect and caring for others. I think so much emphasis is placed on spoiling kids and they don't know how to be empathetic or help others enough. We have so much to give and i want her to know that she should give all she can. We are serving dinner at the rescue mission next month...i have never done it and i think it will be a great experience for the both of us. I have been trying to get her more involved in the community and help me with some of my volunteering!

I am on spring break but havent had much time to relax...i guess it could be worse... if i was in school this week...one more year and i am done for good!!! I can't wait...i am missing so much being gone 4 nights a week. I wish we would win the lottery so i could be a stay at home mom exclusively!! Boy life would be so much less work that way!
